Parrot Art by Betty

Betty Keil

Avian Artist Betty Keil and husband Russ made avian artwork for over 30 years.  A self-taught artist since the 1940’s, Betty began creating parrot art in 1990 when her son started Jungle Toys. It was a natural transition for her to go from oil paintings to all things parrots . Until she was 90 years young, she loved to paint at her home in Reno. Russ cut all of the shapes by hand out of wood, then Betty carefully painted each one to look like your parrot .

Betty’s most popular items were her famous Christmas ornaments, wall plaques, and paper towel holders. You can find Betty’s creations for sale at bird shops and fairs all across the country.  Scroll through the many species and mutations listed below to find your companion parrots.
